A Message From Pastor Bob

My prayer for you, as you walk through the doors of Watts Bar Community Church, is that you walk into a building that is saturated with the presence of God! We understand that we are nothing without God and we understand just how vital His presence is. More than a new hit song, the quality of sound, or anything we can do; I want you to experience Jesus, because I have experienced Him.

We as a team have one goal, and that is to do whatever we can to get you into His presence in a corporate setting because we know that it is only in His presence that chains are broken, miracles happen, people are healed, and lives are changed!

You won't see a stage full of perfect people, but I can guarantee you this: You will see a stage full of people who know what it is like to experience the transformative power of God. You'll see former addicts, former alcoholics, former "religious" people, former atheists, abused, broken, messed up, jacked up people who have found the love of Jesus Christ and want to share that with you.

cultivating

It means encouraging a community that passionately seeks to honor and glorify God through music, prayer, and everyday actions. By fostering a spirit of reverence, joy, and openness, we invite everyone to engage deeply in worship, both individually and collectively. This culture is built through vibrant worship services, inclusive participation, and a focus on spiritual growth. Together, we can create a worshipful atmosphere that transforms hearts, strengthens faith, and brings us closer to God and each other. Join us in this journey of worship, where every moment becomes an opportunity to experience and reflect God's presence.

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness;

Why do we use technology in church?

In the dynamic landscape of the 21st century, technology has become an invaluable tool for the church to fulfill its mission and connect with communities in meaningful ways. From livestreaming services to social media outreach, technology enables us to transcend physical boundaries and reach people wherever they are. It facilitates communication, fosters community, and empowers ministries to engage with diverse audiences effectively.

Through innovative uses of technology, the church can enhance worship experiences, provide resources for spiritual growth, and extend its reach to new generations. Whether it's through online platforms, mobile apps, or virtual communities, technology opens doors for deeper engagement, discipleship, and evangelism.

Technology equips the church to adapt and respond to the ever-changing needs and challenges of society. It enables us to leverage digital tools for efficient administration, collaborative ministry, and impactful outreach initiatives.

In essence, embracing technology in the 21st century church isn't just about staying relevant—it's about maximizing our potential to fulfill the Great Commission and advance God's kingdom in a rapidly evolving world. By harnessing the power of technology, we can amplify our efforts to share the love of Christ, make disciples, and transform lives for the glory of God.

Extending our reach beyond our four walls.

Through their diligent efforts, social media moderators help to create a welcoming and supportive digital environment where members can connect, share, and grow in their faith, extending the church’s reach and impact in the online world.

The Arts

WBCC utilizes performing arts to encompass a rich tapestry of expression, blending music, dance, drama, and visual arts to share the gospel. Rooted in tradition and the vision of our co-founding pastor Connie Goins, yet ever-evolving, these performances serve as a conduit for spiritual reflection, storytelling, and communal participation. Through dramatic reenactments of biblical narratives we aim to bring scripture to life, fostering a deeper connection to faith or giving the opportunity for some to receive Christ for the first time. Dance and visual arts add dynamic and interpretive layers, allowing congregants to experience worship through diverse sensory experiences. Together, these art forms not only beautify and serve as one of the many tools God created to reach the lost but also provide a profound means of expressing and exploring faith for all those involved.

We create because God created first.

God is the creator of the heavens, earth, and everything we see around us. When God finished creating the world in Genesis, He declared that everything was good. Creation itself is the most incredible work of art ever created. Our Lord is the greatest artist.

Everything from the birds flying in the air, to the fish and creatures in the deep waters is creative to the sunset stretched across the horizon. You can travel around the world and see majestic sights that will leave you in awe.

God also created people in His image and likeness, and He has given people the inspiration to create wonderful works of art. God is the source of creativity.
